Luigi Rizzo

Professor Luigi Rizzo is Vice Chairman of Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley, based in London, UK.

Before joining Morgan Stanley, he held senior roles at Bank of America and Goldman Sachs. At Bank of America, he served as Head of Corporate & Investment Banking for the EU (2018–2020), Head of Investment Banking for EMEA (2016–2020), and Head of EMEA Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Finance (2013–2016). Earlier in his career, Professor Rizzo was a Partner at Goldman Sachs, where he started as a financial analyst in 1993, became Managing Director in 2004, and Participating Managing Director in 2008. Over his three decades in investment banking, he has been involved in some of the largest and most complex M&A and corporate finance deals in the EMEA region.

In addition to his professional career, Professor Rizzo is a distinguished educator. He is an Adjunct Professor of Practice at Imperial College Business School, where he teaches “Mergers & Acquisitions,” and an Adjunct Professor of Business at Columbia Business School. He frequently lectures at leading institutions, including IMD (Switzerland), Dartmouth’s Tuck School, IE Business School (Spain), NHH (Norway), the Wharton School, and Cambridge Judge Business School.
